It's why the same booking engine behind your front-desk screen can sit behind an online booking page on your website — a client books or confirms an appointment online and it lands straight in the same diary, no clashes. That same doorway lets a patient-reminder service, a practitioner app, or the AI itself read and update appointments and records, with access controlled the way you decide.
That's why it's built this way. A clinic system that's only a screen is a walled box: the day you want online booking, a patient portal, or a link to some tool that doesn't exist yet, you're back to a vendor with a feature request.
