Hosting & support

You own the code. Your developer runs it.

Stellify provides the system — assembled from proven modules, tested, and previewed against the requirements you accepted before you go live. Hosting it and looking after it is your developer's job, or a Stellify partner's. That's not a gap: it's the point. Owning software means nobody can hold it hostage — including us.

It's standard, modular Laravel that follows Laravel conventions — and as our modules improve, you can re-export an updated system at any time.

Who does what

A clean split, with you in charge of it.

Stellify provides

The system itself, built to the requirements you accepted. Deployment guides for your developer. The Studio, for making changes to your system. And as our modules improve, re-exports — an updated system built from the latest modules, whenever you want one.

Your developer or partner

Hosts the system on infrastructure you choose, keeps it running, deploys re-exports, and builds the changes you want over time. Any Laravel developer can do it — the export is standard, modular Laravel that follows Laravel conventions, with no Stellify runtime.

You

Own the code, the data and the hosting account. Choose who works on it, change your mind whenever you like, and never pay a fee just to keep what's already yours.

Deployment guides for your developer: deploying to a managed Laravel host and deploying to your own server.

Staying current

Re-exporting an updated system.

The Constellation modules your system is built from are improved continuously — new capability, better behaviour, fixes — and every improvement is covered by the modules' own test suites. When you want your system to catch up, you ask for a re-export.

What it is: a fresh build of your system from the latest module versions, against the requirements you accepted — the same itemised list you paid against, rebuilt on newer foundations.

What it costs: a re-export is quoted and paid for like a build. You'll see the price before anything happens, exactly like your original quote.

The boundary: changes your developer has made to the exported code outside the Studio are not carried across — a re-export is built from the modules and your accepted requirements, not from your modified copy. Your developer re-applies their own changes on top, reviewing the diff like any code change.

No developer yet?

Stellify partners host and support systems for businesses without one.

Plenty of our customers don't have an in-house developer — that's what the partner network is for. Partners are agencies who know Stellify-built systems, host them, keep them updated, and quote changes directly with you, on their own terms.

Questions

Asked and answered.

Who hosts and maintains my system?
Your own developer, or a Stellify partner. The code is yours — standard PHP on Laravel — so any Laravel developer can host it, run it and change it, with no link to us at all. If you don't have a developer, our partner directory lists agencies who host and support Stellify-built systems for businesses exactly like yours.
What does Stellify provide?
The system itself: assembled from production-grade Constellation modules, tested, and previewed against the requirements you accepted before anything goes live. After that: deployment guides your developer follows, the Studio for making changes — and as our modules improve, a re-export of your system built from the latest versions, quoted and paid for like a build.
What are module updates?
Your system is assembled from Constellation modules we build, test and improve centrally — shared across every system built from them. As they improve, you can re-export an updated system at any time: a fresh build from the latest modules against your accepted requirements, quoted and paid for like a build. You are never stranded on abandoned code.
I don't have a developer — can I still buy a system?
Yes. Tell us in the intake form that you don't have one yet, and we'll connect you with a Stellify partner who hosts and supports systems for businesses without in-house developers. Partners quote their own hosting and support terms directly with you.
Do I pay Stellify anything monthly?
No. You pay Stellify once, for the build. Hosting and support are between you and your developer or partner, at their rates — and because the code is standard Laravel, you're choosing from one of the world's largest developer pools, not a single vendor who has you captive.
How is this different from a subscription SaaS product?
Ownership. Rented software disappears the day you stop paying and you never owned it; here the app is yours — your code, your data, your hosting — and who looks after it is your choice. A SaaS subscription climbs as you grow, usually per user. This is a one-off build, then hosting and support arranged with whoever you choose, on terms you control.
Is this hand-built agency work that will be fragile to maintain?
No. Your system is assembled from production-grade modules that ship with their own automated test suites — proven, working code on standard Laravel, one of the world's most widely used web frameworks. Tested code on a mainstream framework is what makes it safe and inexpensive for any developer to look after — changes are verified, regressions are caught, and upgrades are routine rather than risky.
